Lost Ark's Destined for Destruction update will be live later today, and it's a doozy, with the patch notes detailing plenty of new content alongside numerous quality-of-life improvements and balance changes to Amazon and Smilegate RPG's free-to-play MMORPG that fans should appreciate. At the forefront of the update is the new Destroyer class, a melee DPS that wields a giant two-handed hammer that can manipulate gravity to displace and decimate foes. The Destroyer is the second new class to come to Lost Ark since launch, with the first being the introduction of the Glaivier last month. In terms of endgame content, there are two new challenges for high item level players to overcome. A new Guardian Raid, Deskaluda, will require players to have an item level of 1415 to attempt. Even more challenging is the introduction of the game's first Legion raid, Valtan. This eight-player encounter will also require an item level of 1415 for normal difficulty and an item level of 1445 for hard difficulty. Smilegate RPG and Amazon note that due to the encounter's difficulty, the raid actually has checkpoints that will save player progress, and the encounter itself introduces numerous new mechanics that players will need to understand to emerge victorious.
