This morning at 08:30AM EST, Mantic Games, acclaimed producers of DREADBALL and DEADZONE tabletop war games, launched MARS ATTACKS: THE MINIATURES GAME on Kickstarter! After just an hour and a half, their funding goal of 50K was achieved and doubled and Mantic have already hit the first two of their many exciting stretch goals!
In this outrageous new game fully licensed from Topps, fast and fun tactical gameplay will combined with over-the-top action and dark humor to create a tabletop experience unlike any other! MARS ATTACKS: THE MINIATURES GAME is played with highly detailed miniature figurines produced using state-of-the-art digital sculpting and 3D printing technology.
The initial funding goal will produce a basic boxed game that includes a series of unpainted figurines of Martian troops, U.S. Soldiers and a range of civilian heroes as well as modular city scenery and a color rulebook. By the end of the crowd-sourced campaign, Mantic hopes to also fund such exciting add-ons as flying saucers, giant robots, gruesome mutated bugs, dozens of additional figures, new factions and other exclusive rewards including Topps trading cards, comics and other items available only to Kickstarter backers!
But that’s not all! “Early Bird” backers will also be offered exclusive discounts on key pledge levels, so fans should be encouraged to act fast, and be on the look out for out-of-this-world stretch goal additions to be unveiled as the campaign heats up.
