Heroic King of the Kulataks

Today on MattyCollector.com sees the release of the Masters Of the Universe Classics King Chooblah action figure. King Chooblah is the next figure in the “200X” sub-line that features characters and designs seen in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series. If you already subscribed to the Club 200x line then King Chooblah will be arriving shortly in your mailbox. If you didn’t subscribe you will need to jump on line this morning and try to snag one of the “day of” figures.

While the good King looks to be an oversized figure, it’s actually the new parts used that beef up the existing Beast Man buck that sets him apart and makes him stand out on your shelf.

This Kulatak elder knows a thing or two about getting his claws dirty, but it’s all for a good cause. He stands king to king with the Eternian leader to fight their mutual foes and protect the peace. King Chooblah™ comes with an oversized walking staff.

THE PACKAGE – The standard package we are used to with the brown cardboard mailer box, the MOTUC bubble, new bio and all of the characters on the cross sell are are other royalty and leaders.

THE FIGURE – The King Chooblah uses the Beast man buck primarily, reusing the torso, upper arms, hips and lower legs. The figure gets a new head, torso cover, lower arms, hands, crotch cover, lower legs and feet… and it’s all very effective. This gives the figure more height than the standard figures, and changes the profile of the figure a lot with the animal-line leg joints, the longer arms and the hunched over shoulders and head.

The way the torso cover fits over the figure it makes the upper torso hunch over so that the head and jut out as needed and gives this harry figure the layers to make him look old and alien. His necklace/amulet is sculpted as part of the torso cover piece. It’s a great design by the Four Horsemen!
