Former BioWare Austin general manager fills the gap left by co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk.
Matthew Bromberg is the new boss of Mass Effect and Dragon Age developer BioWare, VentureBeat reports.
Now group general manager of the BioWare label, Bromberg was previously general manager of BioWare Austin, the studio behind MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. He joined BioWare in 2012, as BioWare was shifting The Old Republic into a free-to-play MMO, and was previously CEO of eSports company Major League Gaming.
Alongside leading the Austin studio, Bromberg will also take over Mass Effect and Dragon Age studios BioWare Edmonton and Montreal studios, the Los Angeles-based Command & Conquer developer Victory, and the Waystone Studio in Redwood City, California, which is currently producing MOBA Dawngate.
Jeff Hickman will replace Bromberg as general manager of BioWare Austin.
