Ahead of Starfield's early access launch on August 31, and the game's proper launch on September 6, Starfield's official social media revealed several of the game's core characters and their voice actors.

The revealed cast members/characters are all members of Constellation, the space exploration society that players will join and aid as part of the Starfield main quest. For example, Sarah Morgan is Constellation's "fierce leader." A veteran of the Colony War, she has found a new home and new purpose among the Constellation's organization. She's voiced by Emily O'Brien, perhaps best known for her work as Amelie and Bridget Stranding in Death Stranding and her vocal contributions to Love, Death And Robots.

Other characters include Barrett, a former UC physicist seeking new discoveries, and Sam Coe, a space cowboy with a strong sense of justice and an interest in making trouble. They are voiced by Barry Wiggins and Elias Toufexis. Wiggins has appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Arrested Development, and provided some voices for Mafia III. Toufexis voiced Tetsuo in Genshin Impact and Vince in As Dusk Falls.
