With development being led by several Persona veterans--including director Katsura Hashino, who has led the Persona franchise through its most successful era so far--this could be the start of a major new franchise for Atlus and its publisher, Sega. If you're looking to get in on the ground floor, preorders for Metaphor: ReFantazio are live for PS5 and Xbox Series X, and there's a handsome collector's edition up for grabs that may interest longtime Atlus fans. In case you missed the trailers, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a fantasy game in which you attempt to seize the throne after the kingdom's previous ruler is assassinated.
