MGK had some stiff competition, but prevailed as the Best MTV Live Performance of 2012!

MGK, by any and all standards, has had an unbelievable 2012. The PUSH alum saw the release of his EST. 4 Life mixtape and his studio debut Lace Up, and he won the EMA for U.S. Artist About To Go Global. The 2012 Woodie Awards, the site of another MGK triumph where he won Breakthrough Woodie, saw the Cleveland rapper give an impassioned performance of his smash "Invincible." And it was the strength of that performance that landed him on our short list of Best 2012 MTV Live Performances.

After a very, very, tight race, which came down to the wire with All Time Low, we can now say that MGK's performance has been voted the Best MTV Live Performance Of 2012! MGK joins the proud ranks of enormous acts like 2011's Best MTV Live Performance winners, 30 Seconds To Mars. MGK, consider this icing on the cake of your unstoppable year. Also, we are forever in debt to your grilled cheese recipe. We would tell you to celebrate, but somehow we think you're probably partying right this second anyway. Congrats!
