On November 11, 2021, TS Rogers (Junk Fed) will release Untitled for public sale.
The mixed media sculpture employs plastic toy soldiers, a child’s plastic costume army helmet, and a novelty skull, atop a wooden block, contrasting the ennoblement of war with the trauma it inflicts on the individual soldier, and their families. Untitled means to jar the viewer into a moment of unsettling contemplation for the soldier who, often not long past their years of playing with toy soldiers, is irrevocably changed.
