Muramasa Rebirth slashes in North America this June

Limited edition featuring customized PS Vita skin and litograph also on sale; Amazon and GameStop pre-orders include free soundtrack.

The PS Vita version of the Vanillaware-developed action game Muramasa: The Demon Blade finally has a release date for North America: June 25.

Now called Muramasa Rebirth, the game will ship in both regular and limited editions. The latter version is called the Blessing of Amitabha collector's edition and contains a customized PS Vita face cover, a PS Vita skin, and a PS Vita pouch. The set also contains a high-resolution framed lithograph drawn by series creator and lead designer George Kamitani. Players will need to fork out $60 for the collection.

Amazon and GameStop are currently accepting preorders for both versions of the game. Gamers who do that will get the "Muramasa Rebirth Abridged Soundtrack" music CD, which contains five songs created by composer Hitoshi Sakimoto.

The Wii version of Muramasa: The Demon's Blade was praised for its visuals and boss battles but panned for its lack of depth. For more information, check out the review.
