Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).
This week Ne-Yo releases R.E.D. (check him out on "The View" today and on "Late Show With David Letterman" Wednesday) and Kylie Minogue refashions her hits and packages them with rarities for her latest effort (watch Kylie's Fan Q&A with Buzzworthy). Meanwhile, Nelly readies a mixtape and Public Enemy drops two albums. Also, the popular Now series releases its 44th That's What I Call Music, Aerosmith culls brand-new material, and the "Glee" cast takes on the "Grease" soundtrack. On TV, tune in to the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards on MTV2. Nominees include Rihanna and Taylor Swift (they lead the nominees with six and five nods, respectively), Justin Bieber, and Katy Perry, who each grabbed four noms.
NEW ALBUM RELEASES
+ Ne-Yo, R.E.D.: Not to be confused with Taylor Swift's recent album, Ne-Yo's latest effort stands for "Realizing Every Dream." The 12-track set features "Forever Now," where he pleads for his love to not go for another guy. Also, he toasts us gals and gives us props for being classy on "Don't Make Em Like You," featuring Wiz Khalifa. Also listen to the smooth-grooving "Lazy Love."
+ Kylie Minogue, Abbey Road Sessions: To mark Kylie's 25th year of pop stardom, she's compiled this 16-song record. The album also pays tribute to London's famed Abbey Road Studios (where Kylie recorded), and it contains reworkings of her big hits (like "I Should Be So Lucky," "Can't Get You Out of My Head," and "Locomotion") along with rarities. It also includes her duet with Nick Cave, "Where The Wild Roses Grow," and brand-new song "Flower."
+ Nelly, Scorpio Season: For his birthday on Nov. 2, Nelly gifted fans with his latest mixtape. He spoke to MTV News about his NSFW innuendo-tipped single, "CNF (Country N**** Fly)," saying, "Yeah, we are country but why does that have to be a bad thing?... I wanted to make sure I broke that stereotype and it's not really a bad thing if we embrace it now." Also, check for his steamy late-night song "4 in the Mornin'."

+ Various Artists, Now That's What I Call Music! 44: The 2012 edition of the well-known Now compilation series, which pulls together the hottest singles of the moment for your listening pleasure, is on its 44th incarnation. And there's natch no shortage of hits in the 20-song set, including Psy's "Gangnam Style," Pink's "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," and Nicki Minaj's "Pound The Alarm."
+ Public Enemy, Most of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp and The Evil Empire of Everything: To commemorate their quarter-century mark, the legendary, seminal, and socially conscious hip-hop group have released two albums. Most of My Heroes... features 11 songs, including the single "I Shall Not Be Moved." On their companion album, The Evil Empire..., they rework "Harder Than You Think," and classics like "Don't Give Up The Fight" are in the mix. Guests include Ziggy Marley, Henry Rollins, and Davy DMX.
+ Aerosmith, Music From Another Dimension!: It's pretty astounding that after four decades, their original lineup remains the same. Fronted by former "American Idol" judge Steven Tyler, this is Aerosmith's 15th album. It's also Aerosmith's first record with all-new material in more than a decade. Check out the raucous and hard rockin' single, "Lover Alot."
+ Soundtrack, Glee: The Music Presents Glease: The cast of "Glee" takes on the classic flick and soundtrack from "Grease." The eight-song Glease includes the ballad "Hopelessly Devoted To You," the duet "You're The One That I Want," the revving "Greased Lightning," and "There Are Worse Things I Can Do" featuring the cast and Kate Hudson.
