New Song: Calvin Harris Featuring Florence Welch, ‘Sweet Nothing’

Calvin Harris and Florence Welch pair up for "Sweet Nothing."

Calvin Harris is a pro when it comes to collabs with star-studded ladies -- his work on Rihanna's "We Found Love" still pumps us up -- but his latest pairing with Florence + The Machine's Florence Welch in "Sweet Nothing" has officially become our EVERYTHING.

Debuting on BBC radio, "Sweet Nothing" meshes Calvin's energetic beats with Welch's stellar vocals to create a ridiculously peppy track. Much like his remix of Florence's "Spectrum (Say My Name)," Harris plays off Welch's emotionally charged voice (which we usually enjoy during bubble bath moments -- TMI?) to create a dramatic, yet roof-raising tune that promises dance floor mayhem. But the playful beat doesn't mean Welch has skimped on theatrical lyrics: "You took my heart, and you had it in your mouth / And with the word all my love came rushing out /And every whisper, it's the worst, empty though by a single word / There is a hollow in me." Basically, girl channeled some deep Shakespearean-like romantic verse for us to bump and grind to in da clurrrb.

Let's hope "Sweet Nothing" (and Florence's mysterious tweet about the song's music video) hints at the epicness to come from Harris' 18 Months LP (dropping Oct. 18), AND during his upcoming DJ gig at the 2012 MTV VMAS!
