Listen to Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack" after the jump
Perhaps you already knew that Demi's forthcoming "Heart Attack" video would be more fashion-focused, but after listening to her new single in full, we can fully confirm that Demi's new single is totally "up in the cluurrrrb"-focused. Taking a step back from her earlier work (think: organic, instrumental records like "Skyscraper" and even "Give Your Heart A Break"), "Heart Attack" is full of sugary sweet, Top 40, club banger-pop goodness. Set to a synth-heavy, vocal effect-laden track (p.s. normally we're purists, but today we've decided it's OK for Demi to use vocal effects -- we know she can wail IRL!), Demi sings about how afraid she is of falling in love: "So I'm putting my defenses up/ 'Cause I don't wanna fall in love/ If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attack." We totally identify with that, Dem, but you know what we think? Eff the fear and be open to love! Then chant a rousing chorus of "live and let love!" Or at least that's what our therapist tells us every week.
