Drake is well aware that all "Girls Love Beyonce" on his latest single.
I'm definitely a girl, and I DEFINITELY love Beyoncé, which basically means that Drake wrote his new song, "Girls Love Beyonce," specifically for me! And also for 99.9 percent of the female population who also happen to have a girl-crush/music-crush/everything-crush on Beyoncé. (And here I was feeling special for a minute!) Also, we should probably warn you that Drake's new song features the PERFECT inclusion of Destiny's Child's "Say My Name" -- just letting you know now so you can avoid a public "OMG" meltdown later.
Listen to Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce" after the jump.
Produced by Drake's frequent collaborator Noah "40" Shebib and featuring vocals from James Fauntleroy (p.s. he co-wrote almost every track on Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience), Drake's "Beyonce" is a sultry, moody track that, quite frankly, doesn't have much to do with "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" Queen at all. Rather, Drake gets emotional as he spits rhymes about his limitations: "I need someone that will help me think of someone besides myself/ I need someone I leave through the front door with ’cause we don’t want to hide no more." James' sultry pipes chime in next to deliver a melancholy, true-to-the-original "Say My Name" chorus. Yeah, it takes some serious chutzpah to name a song after Beyoncé and not have it be a full-on, unabashed tribute to the QUEEN, but we'll let it slide this time cause, well, it's Drake.
