Mariah Carey releases the patriotic "Bring It On Home" just in time for Obama's win!
It's been a busy few weeks for politically minded celebrities. Miley Cyrus rocked the vote for the first time, Hilary Duff sported an "I Voted!" sticker, Beyoncé's handwritten letter to Obama basically brought us all to tears (as did this hot photo of Beyoncé voting), and let's not forget Katy Perry's latex ballot dress and the fact that she introduced her grandma to, you know, PRESIDENT OBAMA. Now, please feel free to add Mariah Carey's new song "Bring It Home" to the list of celebrity political activities. And no, we don't mean the kind of politics involved in figuring out how to stop fighting with Nicki Minaj.

Produced by Jermaine Dupri, Mariah first sang "Bring It On Home" at an Obama fund-raising event this past summer. Now, in honor of the president's big win, the "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" singer has released the studio version! Backed by simple, unadorned production and a classic R&B vibe, "Bring It On Home" does a lovely job of showcasing Mimi's vocals, while still remembering to focus on an important message: "'But when it comes down/ To win or lose/ Don't give up the fight/ 'Cause strength is what we need/ And love can save our lives." We can just see it now... Michelle and her president hubby blasting Mariah's new jam as they sip cocktails before dinner. Aaaand I may have fantasized about the Obamas' life inside the White House just a smidge too much.
