We've been way into Nelly Furtado ever since she was flyin' like a bird (sorry, we had to), so you can imagine our excitement when she announced the release of her new single, "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)." And our girl does not disappoint. Thanks in large part to some stellar production by the legendary Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber), the blazing hot "Big Hoops" is slated to be Furtado's first single off her forthcoming album, The Spirit Indestructible, out June 19.

This is a bold statement, but we're gonna go for it: "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" is unlike anything you've heard in a hot minute -- it's pretty much a guaranteed smash on the charts, on radio and up in da club. Nelly croons, "I can move fast, I can move slow/ I can go places nobody else goes/ Everybody say hey/ They goin' at it all night and day.../ I betcha never seen something like that.../I betcha never heard something like that." Totally correct, Nel -- we actually haven't heard anything like this, so good on you and Darkchild for releasing something completely fresh. Also thank you for supporting my penchant for wearing hoop earrings the size of my face! Despite my mother's warnings, I knew I was on trend. Eat it, Mom!
