Nelly is laid-back and chill on her Nas-assisted 'Something.'

Nelly Furtado already won us over when she told us gals that wearing hoop earrings the size of your face was totally OK, which is why we were thrilled to hear that the "Big Hoops" singer had released another track off her forthcoming The Spirit Indestructible. I can't say I love Nelly's new tune, but it does feature a verse by Nas. Brownie points.

Boasting production by Salaam Remi, Nelly takes things down a notch as she muses about love and life: "Can't start a fire without a flame/ Can't play the part without a game/ Can't feel the love without the pain/ Can't talk to me if you talk the same." Nelly's somewhat monotonous hook leaves a bit to be desired but Nas' verse spices the song up just in time: "Fly eyes, pretty smile, plus you got class/Imma show you a little something, but here's a preview/ When I speak sparks fly like grinding metal." We were kind of hoping for more "Bigger Hoops"-like songs on this record, but if Nas is into it, so are we.
