Listen to Nicki Minaj's 2 Chainz-assisted 'Beez In The Trap.'
We're all gearing up for the release of Nicki Minaj's forthcoming album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, but make room for even more buzz: Check out "Beez In The Trap," her fresh collabo with rapper 2 Chainz.
As opposed to Nicki's pop-laden "Starships," "Beez In The Trap" sports some super-sparse production leaving ample room for Nicki's verses to take center stage. The track is devoid of any of Nicki's crazy voices or alter egos, but she does manage to rhyme about her favorite cities and how easy it is for her to travel -- she's a jet-setter, duh: "Man I'm out in Texas, man, I'm out in A-town/ Then I'm up in Chi-town or Miami shuttin' it down/ It's that New Orleans, it's L.A. or The Bay/ It's New York, Philly and the whole DMV.../ Ohio, Pittsburgh, that St. Louis on deck/ It's Delaware, Connecticut, It's New Jersey got hella bricks." Geography 101 with Professor Minaj.

2 Chainz is up next and rhymes about his humble beginnings/how happy he is that he's rich now (obvs): "Got my top back so you can see what I been thinkin'/ If you know me then you know I've been thinking Franklin/ Money, thousands, True Religion trousers/ Got a private home, started from them public houses." While we don't think this is Nicki's best effort to date, it's a decent album track that might benefit from a dope David Guetta remix or something.
