Listen to Paramore's new single "Now," NOW!
As y'all are well aware, we've been waiting approximately TWO YEARS for some new Paramore material to surface, but thankfully, the insanely long wait ends right NOW with the band's appropriately named track, "Now." Slated to appear on their highly-anticipated new album (out April 9), Paramore's been teasing "Now" for a hot minute, but today being your lucky day and all, you can listen to it in full RIGHT NOW! (We'll stop saying "now" now.)
Listen to Paramore's "Now" after the jump.
Although we're more accustomed to seeing Paramore's sensitive side with songs like "The Only Exception," we're extremely excited to share that "Now" is a fully charged, bona fide rock song. With "Now"'s verse vaguely reminiscent of Gwen Stefani's classic speak-sing style, the chorus showcases Hayley's monstrous vocals as she (likely) references the recent turmoil her band has faced: "Lost the battle, win the war/ I'm bringing my sinking ship back to the shore/ We're starting over, or head back in/ There's a time and a place to die but this ain't it." Uhhh, DAMN RIGHT -- no dying, allowed! After all, Paramore, you've still got a brand-new album AND video to unleash (and hopefully MUCH MORE where that came from). 'Cause it would be VERY rude to release that ominous still of your new video and then never get around to showing it in full, you know? You guys are clearly living your #bestlife, so no dying just yet! Or ever. Also, SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK, PARAMORE. NEVER. LEAVE. US. AGAIN.
