T.I. and Pink get emotional on "Guns And Roses."
T.I.'s forthcoming Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head drops Tuesday, and really, what better way is there to rev us up for the album's release than by unleashing his collaboration with Pink, aptly titled "Guns And Roses." Because if Pink can't "Get The Party Started," then we don't know who can! (Ba dum, ching!)
Listen to T.I.'s "Guns And Roses" featuring Pink after the jump.
This isn't Pink's first foray into the rap universe (see: her collaboration with Eminem on "Here Comes The Weekend"), and after one listen to "Guns And Roses," we can totally see why the hip-hop community clamors to get her on their records. T.I. takes the first verse on the T-Minus produced jam and spits about what he calls "a bittersweet romantic story": "My heart says nah, she can't leave me never/ Been head over heels since the very day I met her/ Feel so deep in love I ain't been able to get up/ Sometimes I want some peace of mind cause she don't shut up." Pink's lush, vibrato-laden vocals command the song's hook from there and serve as a perfect feminine contrast to T.I.'s verse: "Should've known it/ From the start it was already over/ Now we're just too dumb to notice." Man, that's seriously heavy, but then again, did you expect Pink and T.I. to sing about candy and glitter?
Be on the lookout for T.I.'s new disc, which not only features his amazing collabo with Pink, but also boasts features from R. Kelly, Andre 3000, and Lil Wayne.
