Will.i.am and Britney Spears team up on "Scream & Shout."

When we first saw Britney Spears and will.i.am acting like total BFFs on "The X Factor" we were all like, "YES! This is a musical dream team! We can't WAIT for their collaboration "Scream & Shout"! And it's true -- in theory, Britney and will.i.am are a musical dream team, but we fear they may have missed the mark juuust a smidge on their latest track.

Look, that's not to say that there aren't some things about Brit's collaboration with will that we're totally obsessed with. First, new Britney music (kinda) which is by itself enough to send us into gigantic fits of excitement! Second, the track is classic will, otherwise known as an expertly produced dance/pop jam that will probably net us an extra thousand calories burned at the gym and at the clurrrb this month alone, so we're appreciative for that! We also like how will includes Bitney's iconic "It's Britney, bitch" line from her "Gimme More" days and when Britney adopts a Madonna-esque British accent as she sings: "When we up in the club/ All eyes on us/ See the boys in the club/ They watchin' us." That said, next time, what we'd REALLY love is to hear a bit more of Britney actually singing! Maybe "Boys" meets "Radar" meets "Till The World Ends," but with will.i.am's signature swag production all over it? Or something. We do love the idea of will and Britney together though so please, do this again soon, bbs!
