Wiz Khalifa's been a busy boy. In between performing his new single "Payphone" with Maroon 5 on "The Voice," Wiz also found time to release "Work Hard, Play Hard," the first single off his forthcoming O.N.I.F.C. LP. Produced by "Black And Yellow" mastermind Stargate, we predict Wiz's new jam will become an instant summer anthem/ permanent mantra for anyone who loves to get down and party but also wants to make serious bank.
Listen to Wiz Khalifa's "Work Hard, Play Hard" after the jump.
"Work Hard, Play Hard" kind of sounds like it's the more mature, refined cousin to "Black And Yellow." Set to a syncopated, synth-laden track, Wiz's message is clear-- when you're rich, you can buy cool ish! "Diamonds all on my ring.../ Gold watches, gold chain.../ Hundred thou' on champagne/ Yeah, my money insane/ Yeah, I'm making it rain." Wiz goes on to elaborate on his philosophy: "The bigger the bill, the harder you ball/ Well I'm throwing mine, 'cause my money long/ The quicker you here, the faster you go." I totally support working hard so you can buy nice things. But the truth is even if I stayed at the office from tomorrow at 9 a.m. until I turned like, 35 I still wouldn't make enough dough to make it rain champagne and yellow diamonds and stuff. But a girl can dream!
