Listen to Young Jeezy's moving tribute to Trayvon Martin: "It's A Cold World."
As many, many of you may have already heard, last Saturday night, George Zimmerman was declared not guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. Needless to say, the verdict, which has been 16 months in the making, has generated a maelstrom of angry and horrified internet reactions, including one from Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy, who, only hours after the decision came through, released a moving tribute to Martin, titled "It's A Cold World."

Introducing his new cut on Facebook, Jeezy said, "I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events. These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it."
And express himself he does: Set to a mid-tempo track with backtracking female harmonies, Jeezy wonders out loud about the harsh realities of this "cold world" we live in: "Who do you believe the preachers or the politician?/ If the mission was impossible would you still take the mission?/ Everybody talkin', don't nobody want to listen/ And the game ain't the same I swear everybody snitchin'/ Try to tell him, who got time for a lecture?/ Before he's 18, probably end up on a stretcher." There are simply no words, but we love Jeezy for doing his part to support Trayvon's family during this difficult time. Listen below.
