Skybound Entertainment has partnered with Druid City Games to release the mythical card game Guardian’s Call, which has already surpassed its Kickstarter funding goal. Guardian’s Call is a bluffing and deduction card game created by James Hudson, and the second project from a partnership between Skybound and Druid City Games, following fable-based tabletop game The Grimm Forest. Both Guardian’s Call and The Grimm Forest are available for pre-order now.

In Guardian’s Call, each player is a member of the Guardian’s Council, but only the player who brings the most resources to the council will be chosen as the Guardian of the Realm. To gain resources, players

offer one another aid by offering various weapons and shields, artifacts, and magical spells in the form of cards. Deceiving players is encouraged, and is an advantage as long as the bluff isn’t recognized in time.
