Electro-pop songstress Ellie Goulding clearly possesses a taste for the dramatic (have you SEEN her contagious dancing in "Lights" ???). Now in her new video for "Anything Could Happen," the first single on her upcoming album Halcyon (due Oct. 9), Ellie wakes up on a beach in an ornate, flowing gown, and seems to be trying to remember how she got there. Oh, we've all been there, girl. But we're thinking that there's way more to this mystery than just a late night.

The video starts with quick and bright cuts of Ellie driving with her boyfriend, until we suddenly join her on a beach -- and we're just as clueless as she is regarding how she got there. As we begin to unravel more of the alien beach conundrum, we see her start to have a nosebleed (need a tissue, Ellie?). Without giving too much away, it's possible that Ellie's new video will leave you feeling shocked and moved, but still wanting to shake it on the dance floor. Hopefully her relationship with Skrillex isn't as heart-wrenching as this video is, but judging by that awesome mini-shave she's rocking, we're thinking they must be just fine (with no nosebleeds in sight). Matching haircuts are always good for a relationship, right? The couple that shaves together... stays together? Never mind.
