Lana Del Rey and A$AP Rocky reimagine Jackie O. and JFK in her 'National Anthem' video.

Remember how you wished you could watch an entire video of Lana Del Rey impersonating the former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis? And remember how you wished you could watch an entire video of A$AP Rocky impersonating former U.S. President John F. Kennedy? Well, NOW YOU CAN. Because Lana Del Rey's "National Anthem" video dropped this morning, and it's a gorgeous reimagining of American history.

We were first treated to all this music video acting master class when the "National Anthem" video trailer went wide yesterday. And today, in the 7-plus minute video, Lana works her best Jackie O, A$AP does Oval Office leisure-chic and a bunch of other things happen that we'll freely admit we don't fully understand.

But we're supposed to be confused! According to A$AP: The video is "Some cool trippy s***, some real 2015 s***. People are going to get it in three years, and that's the whole purpose of it." Well, that totally worked guys, but here's what we know in 2012: The Anthony Mandler-directed clip begins in black and white, with Lana also assuming the role of Marilyn Monroe. She sings Marilyn's classic rendition of "Happy Birthday," as JFK watches in awe. Lana then switches to the role of Jackie Onassis, while A$AP Rocky plays her loving, presidential husband. As the video continues, we realize the clip is a reenactment of JFK's assassination during the tragic motorcade in 1963. Lana rides with her husband (they're both 2012 MTV Artists To Watch alum, by the way, so, hairflip right there) and just as he puts a loving hand on her knee, he's shot to death. (That's not really a spoiler, because, well, it's history.) The whole thing is bizarre, heavily dramatic and tragically beautiful. So basically, the video is Lana Del Rey with A$AP added in for extra gangster Nancy Sinatra sex appeal.
