PJ Morton (with some help from Lil Wayne) says he's a "Lover," not a fighter.
You may not be familiar with PJ Morton yet, but he's been making the rounds on the industry's radar for a while. Case in point: PJ is currently the stand-in keyboardist of Maroon 5, plus he wrote AND produced India.Arie's Grammy-winning song "Interested." Now, after a rich career behind the scenes, PJ seems more than ready to branch out on his own with a forthcoming solo album. We respect that! Dude DEF has the musical chops and the swag. He's pretty easy on the eyes, too. OH YEAH, and he also has some help from Lil Wayne in his "Lover" video. That doesn't hurt!

In the narrative-driven clip, PJ is looking like one burned-out bro. He just wants to love his girl, and he's sick of all the fighting. "And I know, I know that no one's perfect/ But what's the purpose if we can't even make it through a day/ Without fighting," he soulfully croons. That's a good point, PJ, but sometimes leaving an unhealthy relationship is way easier said than done! I feel the same way about tacos.
Later, Weezy tries to broker some peace: "Yeah, don't fight that love/Just bear with me baby like a white and black cub." (Heh, bear puns.) Also, If anyone has a Photoshop of Lil Wayne with a panda cub, plz send this to me immediately!! A GIF will also suffice. Despite the fact that PJ's singing about tough relationship times, it sounds like he plans to stick it out. And we're hoping he'll stick around in the spotlight, too.
