Vampire Weekend host an indie Last Supper in their new "Diane Young" video.

Vampire Weekend have always had a predilection for the artistic in their music videos, whether it was the Baroque silliness of "Holiday" or the every-lyric-is-literal approach in "Cousins." So for "Diane Young," from their new album, Modern Vampires Of The City (which just hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart), Vampire Weekend take on one of the most iconic art pieces of all time: Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." But instead of using Jesus & Co. as their inspiration, Vampire Weekend seated all of their indie rock friends at the table, like Santigold, Sky Ferreira, members of Chromeo, Dirty Projectors... just to name a few.

Directed by Primo Kahn, Vampire Weekend's "Last Supper" interpretation is a tad different than da Vinci's, featuring ski mask-wearing texters, glitter, explosions, dance parties, food fights, gold teeth, and a saxophone stuffed with something Snoop Lion might really enjoy (DON'T try that at home).

Yes, clearly "Diane Young" borrows heavily from the Renaissance period with its themes of... OK, you're not buying our art expertise either? Fine, but it IS an amazing video from Vampire Weekend, who always seem to churn out visually appealing clips. Now, stroke your chin, furrow your brow, and try to look like you know every painter and artistic movement from memory. It totally works at the museum, so why shouldn't it work here?
