Resident Evil is off to San Francisco and Alcatraz Island for its next CG-animated film, which will once again see Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield face off against rogue bioweapons. While Kennedy embarks on a rescue mission for the Division of Security Operations, Redfield's job as a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agent takes him to San Francisco to deal with a fresh zombie outbreak. With both cases linked to Alcatraz Island, Redfield and Kennedy find themselves visiting the infamous island prison and imprisoned with a new breed of horror within its walls. This new Resident Evil film features heavyweight anime talent behind the scenes, as Assassination Classroom's Eiichiro Hasumi directed the film from a screenplay by Makoto Fukami of Psycho-Pass fame.
