Filming will begin on the next Resident Evil movie--which could be the last film based on Capcom's horror franchise--this August, actress Milla Jovovich says. The Alice actress revealed the start-date in a Facebook post that was largely about her pregnancy. "I have to be ready to start filming 'Resident Evil - The Final Chapter' in August of this year," she said. "And I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new 'easy mama access' costume) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to "action hero" mode!" Jovovich says she has gained around 30 pounds during her pregnancy. Her Facebook post outlines the steps she's taking to ensure a smooth delivery for her and her child. "I also want to be the healthiest I can to ensure the easiest delivery and no stress post birth when I have to establish a nursing routine, as well as, slowly getting myself and my family ready to move halfway across the world to make a big action movie with a lot of stunt work! Phew!," she said. The Final Chapter was supposed to start filming last year, but shooting was delayed due to Jovovich's pregnancy. "We didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo," she said in August. The father of the baby is Jovovich's husband, Resident Evil series director Paul W.S. Anderson. The baby is due in around 10 weeks. The Final Chapter, as its name suggests, could be the final entry in the long-running movie series based on Capcom's action-horror franchise. The various Resident Evil movies throughout the years have not been well-received by critics, but the most recent entries--Retribution and Afterlife--grossed $240 million and $300 million worldwide, respectively. Anderson said in June that he was considering releasing The Final Chapter in 3D, but made it clear that 3D is "not just some special sauce you sprinkle on." The most recent Resident Evil video game is the HD remake of the 1996 original, which launched this week for consoles and PC. For more, check out GameSpot's review and what other critics are saying.
