Xbox 360 version of upcoming action game taps into Microsoft's second-screen app; demo coming to PS3 and Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge will support Microsoft's SmartGlass software, Tecmo Koei announced today. Gamers can download the SmartGlass app for their smartphone or tablet and check personal scores and even watch strategy videos based on their in-game location.
In addition, gamers will be able to upload, view, and comment on Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge videos through the SmartGlass app.
Tecmo Koei also announced today that a "full featured" demo for Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge will be made available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ahead of the game's launch on April 2.
This demo will feature stages for Hayabusa and Ayane. Additionally, karma and ninja skills acquired in the demo can be transferred to the full version at launch.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge was previously a Wii U exclusive.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions include a host of features and enhancements over Ninja Gaiden 3, which launched last March behind a tepid critical reception. These include additional playable characters, a new gameplay mode, a redesigned battle system, and "expanded online features."
All previous paid downloadable content from Ninja Gaiden 3 will be available in Razor's Edge from the get-go. In addition, players can take part in multiplayer clan battles, which support up to eight players and feature five new stages.
