Ori developer Moon Studios is making its return this month with a brand-new game, launching in early access on PC. Called No Rest for the Wicked, this hack-and-slash adventure combines Souls-like influences with hack-and-slash action, all set in a world that looks like a rich oil painting come to life. The Ori games were praised for their visuals when they first came out, and No Rest for the Wicked continues this tradition with a design that is somehow both both dark and vibrant. Ahead of its early access launch, Moon Studios has provided GameSpot with an exclusive collection of concept art showing off No Rest for the Wicked's dangerous enemies and some of the locations you'll visit in your quest. Below, you can find images of deadly adversaries like the Berserker, the nightmarish Echo Knight, and the intimidating Darak. You can also take a peek at some of the locales you'll visit, like the city of Phalen, the haunting Quarry, and the filthy sewers. In case you missed it when it was first revealed at The Game Awards last year, No Rest for the Wicked has a more mature tone when compared to the Ori games. As Cerim--a member of a holy warriors group sworn to protect the world from the menace of the Pestilence--you'll be caught in the middle of warring factions following the death of King Harol. Inspired by the works of From Software, action in No Rest for the Wicked requires mastering your personal space and attack-timing, while the "soft class" system encourages you to experiment with your character skills and weapons in this isometric action-RPG. Multiplayer support for up to four players in online co-op will be added in the game's first update after it launches on PC via Steam Early Access on April 18. Console support for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will arrive with the eventual 1.0 release of the game.
