It's official: New York Comic Con will not be happening this year. Instead, like San Diego Comic-Con in July, it will be replaced by an entirely virtual event hosted on YouTube. This news will come as a surprise to no one, considering October-based events like Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights have already been called off. The virtual event will partner both NYCC and its sister convention, MCM Comic Con London, for "New York Comic Con's Metaverse," which boasts virtual events like panels with studios and publishers, fan events, and networking opportunities.
