Karmin will join The Flaming Lips on their Vision Quest to play eight cities in 24 hours and break a world record!
So, remember how we told you about the record-breaking mayhem that the O Music Awards have in store for us tomorrow, with a 24-hour roadshow tour featuring The Flaming Lips and friends? In case you're just tuning in to the internet, The Flaming Lips are preparing to play eight cities in less than 24 hours to break the Guinness Book of World Records title for Most Live Concerts in a 24-hour period, a record currently held by Jay-Z. Well, we're about to go HAM on all of that, because darling duo and O Music Award nominee Karmin are joining the Flaming Lips on their odyssey!
And that's not all: Neon Trees, Jackson Browne and "Jackass" star Chris Pontius will join Karmin and The Lips on the road and on the stage. They're joining the already-stacked lineup of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Gary Clark Jr., Hunter Hayes, GIVERS, Neon Indian, Grimes and New Fumes, each of whom will play an opening set in one of the cities before The Lips touch down. Oh and guys, it's not too late to vote for your favorite O Music Award nominees -- voting is still open!
Watch the O Music Awards streaming live on Weds., June 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET to witness the insanity and to cheer 'em on! And follow OMusicAwards on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates!
