Need for Speed Shift developer Slightly Mad's new racing game Project Cars is off to a hot start. Publisher Bandai Namco on Friday announced that the game, released in early May, has reached more than 1 million units sold across the world. "To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years and solidifies Project Cars' future as the multi-platform racing experience of choice for fans around the world," Slightly Mad studio head Ian Bell said. "And we'll be talking more about that future very, very soon." Project Cars is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A Wii U version of the game is also in development, but it may never be released on that platform. Instead, Slightly Mad recently said it is looking at Nintendo's new console, codenamed NX, as a potential platform for it.
