Pusha T and Chris Brown collabo on "Sweet Serenade."
Have we or have we not been patiently waiting like kids on Hanukkah for Pusha T's oft-delayed My Name Is My Name disc (now set for release on Oct. 8)? (The answer is, YES, we have.) We've already heard the G.O.O.D. music rapper's big-game-talking "Numbers On The Boards," and his 2 Chainz and Big Sean-assisted "Who I Am." Now, as we initialize the countdown clock to Oct. 8, the generous rapper has given us something else to tide us over: a collaboration with Chris Brown called "Sweet Serenade."

Truth be told, "Sweet Serenade" might actually be the most calming rap song in the game right now (and we totally mean that in a "you might not need your herbal anxiety meds after you listen to it" kinda way).
Set to a hazy track laden with muted chants and dulled synths, the "Love More" collaborator -- who, by the way, recently "retired" from the music business (LOLOL) -- coos about popping some bubbly and toasting to life. Pusha's up next to gently spit his rhymes over the lush track: "It's the life that we made/ Gunshots in the dark/ Like a sweet serenade."
All in all, "Sweet Serenade" is a prime example of a perfectly understated, yet totally effective rap record. Now, let the My Name Is My Name countdown resume...
