Fans of The Magicians TV series can add it to their Blu-ray collection for cheap thanks to a steep discount on The Magicians: The Complete Series over at Amazon. You’ll also find a few deals on books that inspired the show, plus price cuts on comics and other novels by The Magicians author Lev Grossman. This 15-disc set gets you all five seasons of The Magicians. It follows Quentin Coldwater, who gains entrance to a secretive university that specializes in unlocking the magical potential of its students. Along with every episode of the series, this collection is packed with bonus features such as deleted scenes, gag reels, and featurettes. If you’re seeking a new way to experience Quentin’s journey, the original novels are an easy recommendation. This hardcover box set features the entire trilogy (The Magicians, The Magician King, The Magician’s Land), plus a stylish slipcase. This is one of the best prices we’ve seen for the set in 2024, making it a great time to finally read through the material that inspired the popular show. You’ll also find a slight discount on the paperback box set, which is just $38 (was $54). Like the hardcover set above, this paperback edition comes with all three books in the trilogy and a slipcase for storage, but since the hardcover edition is just an extra $5, it's certainly a better deal. Dedicated fans will also want to look into The Magicians graphic novels. These tell unique new stories set in the same world as the novels, making them the best way to dive back into the magical world after reading through the books and binging through the TV series. Alice’s Story is a great place to start, as it follows the eponymous character after graduating from Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy. Once you’ve read through Alice’s Story, there are five more graphic novels for you to enjoy. These can be purchased individually or bundled together with The Magicians: New Class. If you want to branch out and read other novels written by Grossman, The Bright Sword is a good place to start. The book offers a new take on the King Arthur mythos, following the aspiring knight Collum, whose hopes to join the Round Table are dashed when he discovers King Arthur has died and only a few of the king's knights are still alive. Against all odds, they’ll have to work together to find Excalibur and bring order back to the land. Grossman’s first novel, Warp, is also available for $20. If you’re a fan of his other work, this magic-filled book is an easy recommendation. And for something more mature, you’ll find the Kindle version of Codex discounted to $9 (was $18). Instead of magic, this one revolves around an ancient codex and video games.
