Capcom has released the first trailer for Resident Evil 0 HD, the recently announced remastered version of the 2002 survival horror game, giving fans a look at just how much better it looks more than a decade later. Along with better visuals, Resident Evil 0 HD sports improved sound, widescreen support, and the option to use a "modernized" control setup. In terms of story, Resident Evil 0 is set before the events of the original Resident Evil, which Capcom also recently remade. The game features police officer Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen, a prisoner on death row. The duo must work together to survive a virus that has resulted in a zombie outbreak. Players can switch between the two characters at any time for the duration of the game, a feature called "partner zapping." Each character possesses unique abilities. Players can also control both characters simultaneously, or have them separate to cover more area when exploring. Resident Evil 0 HD launches in early 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Its very existence is part of Capcom's deliberate strategy to develop and release more HD remasters. The game is one of a handful of titles that Capcom is bringing to E3 next week.
