New York (July 24, 2014) – A limited edition of 3 different collectible coins will open the door to win unbelievable prizes and give exclusive access to the Art Of Living Dead Dolls private book party during New York Comic Con’s first ever Super Week (October 3rd-12th).
Ripley’s Times Square has commissioned Mezco Toyz to create a series of 3 collectible coins. The limited 300 edition of each coin will be “blind boxed” with one “golden” coin for each series. The lucky collectors who find a “golden” coin will be eligible to win a collection of Ripley’s merchandise, Mezco New York Comic Con Exclusives, and other goods worth over $502.
One of the three “golden” coin holders will be randomly selected to receive an additional grand prize package totaling the winnings to more than $1007 comprised of Ripley’s Times Square and Mezco Toyz merchandise.
Additionally every coin set will grant admission to the special Coin Holder Only event at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square Odditorium to celebrate Mezco Toyz’s newest book; The Art Of Living Dead Dolls.
The private book party will take place during New York Comic Con’s inaugural Super Week the night of Friday, October 10th beginning at 8pm. The focal point of the evening will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with the creators of the Living Dead Dolls themselves; Ed Long, Damien Glonek, and Mez Markowitz. The unholy trio will be available to autograph books as well as pose for photos with fans. Fans who purchase less than a full set of three coins may gain entry by purchasing a discounted ticket (see location for details). A selection of 13 of the creator’s favorite pieces of art from the book will be transformed into one of kind canvases and auctioned during the event. In addition, 13 random attendees will also be selected to receive special gifts during the evening.
