Despite disappointing sales for the original, Grasshopper's Akira Yamaoka says he's thinking of a second installment, believes Electronic Arts would be interested.
Garcia F****** Hotspur may ride once again, as Grasshopper Manufacture is considering a sequel to its Shadows of the Damned. Despite disappointing sales for last year's action thriller, Grasshopper composer Akira Yamaoka told Eurogamer that he has been contemplating a follow-up.
"I'm thinking of a sequel, actually," Yamaoka told the site. "I can't tell you here, but clearly I'd like to."
Yamaoka went on to say that Electronic Arts would "probably" be interested in working with Grasshopper again to release a hypothetical sequel. The publisher handled the original game through its EA Partners program.
Released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Shadows of the Damned tells the story of Garcia Hotspur, who goes on a trip to hell to save his true love, Paula. His traveling companion on the long, hard road through hell is a foul-mouthed demonic skull named Johnson that can morph into a variety of guns, but is also effective as a torch.
