Silent Hill 2 has gotten its first big post-launch update. It includes technical improvements and bug fixes across PC and PS5. On PS5, the patch fixes a set of "rare" crashes, including in streaming and AI modes. It also repairs an issue with switching in-game motion blur on and off. Most notably for PC, the update improves Steam Deck optimization. Players using DLSS can now enable frame generation and Nvidia Reflex. The patch adds support for AMD FSR 3.1.1. and the ability to enable AMD Fluid Motion Frames when using FSR 3.1. for supersampling. Graphics settings should now be saved locally.
