Time-travelling latest entry in series pushed to early next year for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita; no rationale provided.
The release date for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is travelling forward through time. A new trailer for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita project (embedded below) reveals the game has been delayed from fall 2012 to early 2013. No reason for the delay was provided.
When Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time does arrive, it will be one of the first games to take advantage of Sony's new Cross Buy promotion. As part of the offer, gamers who pick up the PS3 version of the game will get the PS Vita iteration for free.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is the first core entry in the series developed outside of Sucker Punch Productions, but Sony has tapped a studio familiar with the source material for the project. Sanzaru Games, which contributed to 2010's Sly Collection, is currently at work on Thieves in Time.
