98 Degrees mourn a lost relationship in "Lonely."
Not sure if you're aware, but we're kind of in the middle of a boy band Renaissance. And no, we're not just talking about One Direction and The Wanted, who are literally still boys. We're mostly talking about the first and second wave of boy bands (now affectionately known as "man bands"), like New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees (and *NSYNC if they'd EVER GET BACK TOGETHER PLEASE).
Now, you might already be aware of 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men and NKOTB's upcoming "Package Tour" (*tee hee!*), but it's time to wave your thermometers in the air, 98 Stans: in addition to releasing "Girls Night Out" just last Monday, 98 Degrees has officially unveiled their latest single, "Lonely," the second track from their upcoming 2.0 album!
Listen to 98 Degrees' "Lonely" after the jump.
Unlike "Girls Night Out," which has Nick Lachey & Co. fist-pumping about hot ladies in da club, "Lonely" is a slowed-down piano ballad about, well, feeling lonely after a breakup.: "So now I just walk around reliving that moment/ I'm so lonely/ If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't keep calling and hanging up/ 'Cause I'm so lonely." (Guess this is what the Backstreet Boys were referring to when they sang "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely," right?) Aw, cheer up, boys! It can't be all bad -- we're betting there are PLENTY of ladies out there who would be more than happy to ease your pain. Also... we know it's you on the other end of the line. (The call is coming from inside the house!)
