Vita TV will be able to play Rayman Origins, Lumines, and MotorStorm RC at launch.
Sony has published a list of games that will support the PlayStation Vita TV at launch.
The Vita TV will allow users to play PSOne, PSP, and some PS Vita games on a TV with a DualShock 3 controller. The device will also allow users to stream media and play PlayStation 4 titles with Remote Play.
As the DualShock 3 does not feature PS Vita-specific features like the front or back touch screens or microphone, only certain Vita games will be supported on the device. Sony’s initial list includes Rayman Origins, Lumines Electronic Symphony, MotorStorm RC, Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force, Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remastered, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Dead or Alive 5 Plus, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The full list of supported games can be found on Sony Japan’s site.
The Vita TV was announced earlier today at a Sony Japan press conference, with the device launching in the island nation on November 14. The launch date for other territories is yet to be announced.
Sony has priced the Vita TV at 9,480 yen in Japan (approximately $95/£61), which does not include one of the Vita’s proprietary memory cards or a DualShock 3 controller.
A redesigned PlayStation Vita was also unveiled, with the new handheld slimmer, lighter, and cheaper than the previous PS Vita model, but without the OLED screen.
