PlayStation maker files mystery application that covers game software.
Sony has filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office for "Destiny of Spirits." The March 26 application covers "computer game software; electronic game software for handheld electronic devices; video game software."
No further information is available and a Sony representative was not immediately available to comment.
Numerous high-profile game companies have filed trademark applications with the USPTO of late. Bungie recently filed bids for Glimmer, Hive, Fallen, Cabal, and Vex. Meanwhile, Microsoft wants to trademark Marlow Briggs and a Bethesda trademark suggests a Fallout TV show may be in the works.
