Enigmatic new teaser hints at Friday announcement.

PlayStation owner Sony has released a teaser trailer called Game Day 2013.

The 16-second video shows a woman walking through the countryside as ash rains from the sky, and ends on a shot of an eye opening before displaying a date: February 1, 2013.

There's a touch of God of War about the trailer--and Sony's marketing campaign for Kratos' latest adventure is kicking into full gear--but Sony could also be looking to surprise with one of the first new game announcements of 2013.
