Sony today announced (via Videogamer) a new 4K Media Player, which certainly looks a lot like the PlayStation 4 with its angular edges and rectangular shape. Sorry to burst your bubble, though. It's not a re-designed PS4.
The 4K Ultra HD Media Player (FMP-X10) goes on sale this summer (price TBA) and allows you to download, stream, and store a range of 4K content. You can download movies and shows from Sony's Video Unlimited 4K, stream 4K content from Netflix, or even play back content from a Sony 4K TV. The box includes 1TB of built-in storage and of course, you'll need a 4K-compatible TV to make it work.
