Apparently, Spider-Man was supposed to join Stephen Strange in his journey across the multiverse in Doctor Strange 2. However, the studio had to make some adjustments due to COVID. The news comes from X (formerly Twitter), where user ScarletWitchUpd uploaded a clip of costume designer Graham Churchyard explaining that Spider-Man: No Way Home was supposed to come out after Doctor Strange 2. However, because of COVID, No Way Home was pushed up, and changes to both films were made. "Doctor Strange and his new costume and America Chavez were supposed to go into Spider-Man," Churchyard explained.
