Latest Tom Clancy shooter launching August 20 for Nintendo's HD platform; Disney Planes coming exclusively to Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo today confirmed that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will launch on the Wii U in North America on August 20 alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions. The game will be released in the United Kingdom on August 23.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist for the Wii U will make use of the GamePad for "enhanced gameplay features." According to the screenshot at right, one such feature is using the controller to manipulate a snake camera.
Nintendo also today revealed that a pair of Planes tie-in titles will be released exclusively for the Wii U and 3DS. Due out August 6 (three days before the film hits theaters), the games expand the storyline of Planes, allowing players to control one of the characters from the animated film.
