Selena is a self-professed selfie-taker! 

Take it from us: You'd be hard-pressed to find any celebrity who admits to taking the dreaded, and we think too harshly judged "selfie." Don't get us wrong -- every celebrity does it. But your typical "selfie" tends to get disguised as a "See how pretty I am holding my cousin's baby?" photo, or the sly "Look at my new fox fur faux eyelashes!" photo. That said, Selena Gomez is one of the only celebs, if not the ONLY celeb, who can post a selfie and OWN IT. And Selena actually has an excuse: She posted the selfie as an apology for being late with a surprise for her fans. Wait, can people actually do that, or is the "apology selfie" only for celebs? Oh, just celebs? *Puts the phone down*

Word is the "Come & Get It" singer (and duckface-maker) promised her fans a special surprise, but couldn't deliver on time due to a studio session running late (and we still don't know what the surprise is -- urgh!). But you know that if there's any way to calm a group of angsty Selena Stans, it's by sending them an adorable, just-for-them selfie! Along with the above image, Selena tweeted, "Sorry again for being late, here's a selfie for my tardiness. Love you guys #selenators." Props on that selfie-confidence, girl! And please, oh please take another one at, during, or after your first EVER LIVE performance of "Come & Get It" at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards! We need more for our Selena shrine photo collage.
