Producer Tomoaki Ayano expresses dismay at unauthorized unlocking of 12 on-disc characters, surprise at skill of hackers. 
Street Fighter X Tekken producer Tomoaki Ayano is disappointed that hackers are already playing with the dozen fighters planned as downloadable content for his game. Speaking with GameSpot, the developer expressed dismay at the hackers' actions but acknowledgement of their skill.
"Personally, I was really surprised when I heard the news that the characters had been hacked, basically," Ayano told GameSpot. "So I was pretty disappointed by that. I was really surprised at how skillful the hackers were, basically. But I was really kind of disappointed that it created this kind of environment where a bunch of players were playing the characters but a bunch were unable to play with them."
Even though the characters aren't planned for public release until after the launch of the PlayStation Vita version of the game this fall, hackers have been able to play with them on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game because the completed characters are included on the disc.
The six characters that make up the Street Fighter side of the DLC are Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, and Sakura. Meanwhile, the Tekken side will welcome Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson, and Lei Wulong. They will be available from the start on the PS Vita version of the game, but console players will be charged $20 (1,600 Microsoft points) to unlock them.
